Doha Bank Reports Net Profit of QAR 436 Million for First Half of 2026

Doha Bank announced its financial results for the six-month period ended 30 June 2026. Sheikh Mohamed bin Fahad Al Thani, Chairman of the Board of Directors, stated that the bank’s Interim Condensed Consolidated Financial Information for the period ended 30 June 2026 reported a net profit of QAR 436 million, representing a decrease of 6.7% compared with the corresponding period of 2025.

Sheikh Mohamed added that the total assets as at June 30, 2026, reached QAR 122.5 billion, marginally below by 0.4% year on year. Net loans and advances reached QAR 72.9 billion, representing growth of 21.5% compared with the same period last year. Customer deposits grew by QAR 4.6 billion or 9.0% year-on-year to reach QAR 55.5 billion as at 30 June 2026. The investment portfolio decreased by QAR 3.8 billion or 10.1% year-on-year to reach QAR 33.9 billion. The Chairman also stated that operating income for the period was QAR 1,389 million, an increase of 6.6% versus the first half last year.

Sheikh Abdulrahman Bin Fahad Bin Faisal Al Thani, Group CEO, stated, “the bank continues to maintain stable capital and liquidity positions. The Common Equity Tier 1 (CET1) ratio stood at 12.94%, while the Total Capital Adequacy Ratio remained strong at 18.78%. The total equity reached QAR 15.3 billion, showing an increase of 2.6% compared with the corresponding period last year”. Sheikh Abdulrahman Bin Fahad added, “our performance during the first half of 2026 reflects the dedication of our teams, the strength of our balance sheet, and our ability to execute with discipline during a period of regional uncertainty. We continued to improve asset quality, with the impaired loan ratio improving to 6.29% as of Q2 2026, compared with 7.66% in Q2 2025. During the period, both Fitch and Moody’s reaffirmed Doha Bank’s investment-grade credit ratings, underscoring the Bank’s financial strength and resilience. Doha Bank maintained strong execution of its strategic priorities through digital innovation, customer growth, ESG advancement, and operational excellence, reinforcing its position as a leading Qatari financial institution and accelerating its transformation into a more agile, customer-centric bank.”
