Mr. Abdul Rehman Al-Meer, the Head of Retail Banking is retiring from Doha Bank after 30 years of long-standing service. Mr. Abdul Rehman Al Meer, fondly remembered by many at Doha Bank, is one of the founders of Doha Bank and also the longest serving Qatari National.
Mr. Abdul Rehman Al Meer started his career with Doha Bank on 15th March 1979 after graduating with a bachelor's degree in Banking. Mr. Abdul Rehman Al Meer since then has held various coveted positions within Doha Bank's Customer Relationship Management and Retail Banking divisions. Under, his stewardship Doha Bank's retail network gained dominant position in the State of Qatar banking landscape with 28 state-of-art branches, 11 e-branches, 11 pay offices, 2 mobile units in Doha, 1 mobile unit in Dubai with more than 100 ATMs.
Mr. Abdul Rehman Al Meer has been in senior management roles in Doha Bank since 1998 and from 1st January 2008 he was promoted as the Assistant General Manager, Retail Banking Division. Mr. Abdul Rehman Almeer, in his 30 years of long-standing service also served as the Head of the Qatarization Committee of Doha Bank. In fact for many Qatari National staffs in the bank, Mr. Abdul Rehman Al Meer was a role model.

Mr. Abdul Rehman Al Meer, speaking on his farewell occasion said 'My dear colleagues, Doha Bank over the last 30 years has become a great institution moving progressively from one milestone to another in terms of performance, recognitions and outstanding service levels. These are undoubtedly been possible only due to the collective effort of my fellow colleagues and the visionary leadership of our Board of Directors.
