Doha Bank opens Lulu Gharafa e-Branch

 

Doha Bank announces the opening of the new Lulu Gharafa e-Branch, an electronic branch conveniently located at Lulu Hypermarket - Gharafa Branch, this ergonomically designed set-up offering electronic channels products with Tellers to perform regular branch functions.

It has a Cash Deposit ATM (for both withdrawal and deposit) that can accept 400 currency notes of any denomination at one time, customers can deposit cash anytime using their ATM cards and the amount is credited into the customers account immediately.

Propagating the concept of 24/7 Banking, Doha Bank has added 1 more e-Branch taking the total of 6 electronic branches with Teller functions at these locations: Royal Plaza, Race Course, Old Rayyan, Moaither, Lulu D-Ring and the newly added Lulu Gharafa and a total of 3 unmanned e-Branches at Al Kheretiyat, C-Ring Road and Mushaireb. Customers around these localities can open new accounts and obtain Doha Bank products and services. These e-Branches are bound to bring complete banking flexibility to its customers.

The increased usage of e-Branches has expedited Doha Bank’s strategic decision to introduce at this location and 2 more locations are coming up. The new e-Branches are strategically located at upcoming residential and commercial areas. These e-Branches will offer all banking services to the companies, educational institutions and the large expatriate population in the area.

Mr. Ahmed Abdul Rahman Yousuf Obaidan Fakhroo, Vice Chairman said that, “ Doha Bank was the first bank in Qatar to launch this unique concept of providing electronic banking services at strategic locations to better serve the customers. These e-Branches are manned by the experienced bank personnel for facilitating banking transactions and are equipped with fully functional Automated Teller Machines, which enables the customers to perform online cash deposit and withdrawal transactions. Our goal is to reach out to our customers wherever they are located in Qatar.”

Mr. R. Seetharaman, Chief Executive Officer said that “Doha Bank’s strategy to tap new localities to introduce electronic banking has resulted e-Branches being introduced in key areas. The Lulu Gharafa e-Branch will play an important role in the usage of Electronic Channels of Banking.”

Scotto - Head of Retail Banking Dept. said “Residents at this area can also use this e-Branch to transfer funds at the lowest rates and comparatively lesser time to the 10 countries through the E-Remittance service. In addition, Customer Service Representatives will guide the customers on the registration and usage of these channels.”
