Doha Bank Turkey Representative office receives H E The Governor of Central Bank Qatar in Istanbul on the occasion of the IMF.

 

Doha Bank opened its Representative Office in Turkey in December 2006. Ever since then Doha bank has been the home to many Turkish companies who are actively engaged in the GCC countries.

Given the excellent knowledge of the Turkish companies operating in Qatar and the several years of experience in Turkey, Mr Nezıh Akalan mentioned that our unique relationship with our customers enables us to serve their interest in a manner that is mutually beneficial to both parties.

Mr. R. Seetharaman said “We are now a global bank with strong local traditional values. Our comprehensive and innovative product range, customer care and best applications provide the best relationship value to the customers. We established certain strategic objectives for ourselves. We want to be perceived as a local bank with traditional values and strong international presence”. Doha Bank opened representative offices in Turkey, Singapore, Romania, Japan, China, South Korea and London besides its own full fledged operations in Kuwait, Dubai and New York as a part of its growing international Network.

Doha Bank has been working with Turkish banks for almost 15 years. Currently, its total volume of business in Turkey has reached to almost 300 million US Dollars. Doha Bank is one of the largest private commercial bank in Qatar and maintains a very wide range of banking products that benefit from advanced technology in the fields of Corporate, Commercial, International, and Retail Banking. Besides, through Islamic banking unit it also serves to its customers, all types of Islamic financing product and service.

“These centers at which representative offices are opened were selected with great care by reviewing the strong commercial and economic relationship between these countries and Qatar. International companies wish to make investments besides doing business with companies in Qatar with growing interest. Having our presence in these centers will provide us an opportunity to understand and do business in these regions and at the same time, help build-up commercial and banking relationships”.

Mr. Seetharaman, CEO said that the Turkey Representative office will help to build financial and economic bridges between two countries, where the construction companies are engaged in projects of USD approximately USD 8 Billion. He further elaborated the eagerness of Governments of both countries to boost their trade cooperation with each other.

“Doha Bank expects an increased interest of Turkish companies in different sectors in the State of Qatar and establishment of Representative Office in Turkey will further this objective in being able to promote the bilateral trade.
