Doha Bank Receives Prestigious Citi Performance Excellence Award

Doha Bank has been awarded the prestigious Citi Performance Excellence Award for leadership and excellence in global electronic payments for the second time. This award is presented to leading financial institutions worldwide which have state-of-the-art international ‘straight-through-processing’ (STP) electronic payment services and meet Citi’s stringent correspondent banking and processing accuracy criteria.

Mr. Steve Donovan, Global Transaction Services (GTS) Head of Middle East & Pakistan, along with Director & Banking Head Ehab Hafazalla, Mr. Mohsin Almahdi, Director of GTS Bank Services Group, presented the award to Mr. (First name please) Seetharaman - Doha Bank’s CEO, Mr. Chris Fellner – Head of International Banking, Mr. Anil Kavilla Veedu Bab - Head of Foreign Remittance and other bank representatives.

 

Mr. Seetharaman said that Doha Bank values the long relationship with Citibank as one of Doha Bank’s main correspondent banks

Mr. Fellner added: “The award is a testament to our unparalleled customer service which was achievable through our staff’s expertise and professionalism who have contributed to this success. As for our customers, this award underscores and reinforces our credibility and assures them that they can rely on our payment services to be fast and efficient with funds reaching the counterparty as quickly as possible”.

STP is the automated process of payments without manual intervention which increases processing speed, minimizes routing errors, lowers operations and transaction costs while resulting in efficient, rapid payment execution and credit for the bank and the customers it serves.
